This Athame has been made using Deer Antler as the handle. Deer Antler represents the higher self and a figure of spiritual superiority. As a crown would sit on the kings head to signify his power, so does the Antler sit on the deers head.

The “blade” is hand knapped from raw Agate and has been finished with hemp cord, wooden beads and 2 bone beads and Emu feathers

What is an Athame?

An Athame is a ceremonial tool used in Witchcraft and other ceremonial majick traditions.

In witchcraft it symbolises the element fire and is used for channeling, banishing and many other rituals but wasn’t used for actual physical cutting.

In tarot it represents the suit of swords and along with the cup, wand and pentacle they all become the 4 “weapons” of significance.
